Our how I love a fun and restful girl's weekend away!
Two girlfriends and I have been going on girl's weekends yearly...sometimes twice a year...for almost 12 years! We leave on Friday morning and return home on Sunday. It really is the most wonderful way to take care of you and catch up with some of your most important friendships that may be harder to focus on between being a mom, a wife and having a job.
For YEARS we drove to Gatlinburg, TN, but it was a 4+ hour trip from home. Now that one of us has moved out of state, we wanted to find something closer so we could spend more time together instead of on the road.
After years of staying in the same cabin, we knew we were going to have a difficult time finding just the right one. Well, we finally found the perfect cabin spot. Sitting atop the beautiful mountains of Northeast Alabama in Bryant, Alabama, Grant Summit Cabins is a great place to get away. We love it so much. It's quiet and has beautiful views. The cabins are clean and very spacious and every cabin has a fire pit and hot tub. The ONLY thing I suggest is, if you plan on doing nothing like us, bring paper plates or you'll be washing dishes the whole time. There isn't a dishwasher. Which is fine with us.
Grant Summit is off Interstate 24 between Monteagle Mountain and Chattanooga near Nickajack Dam. The cabins are very simple to get to and not far from shopping and dining.
Kenny Hill is the owner and manager and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He makes sure you have everything you need and if you don't, he's only a phone call away.
My wife and I are attending a TPA conference in Chattanooga and want to leave Fri. afternoon and stay in a cabin with a hot tub, Friday night, July 19 and Sat. July 20 on our way home. Please send me info on what you have available.
